Good and bad

I bought the cd's to supplement my bible reading and make good use of my commute time. It serves this purpose well, but I do have some negatives...1) the voices used for all people outside of Jesus (which is the same voice as the narrator) are just cheesy and comical. It makes me wince. 2) Occasionally music will play in the background that is absolutely random, and in no way consistent with what is happening (think jaws music during a happy embrace, or an upbeat tune in a death scene) very strange. The narrator also speed reads some important parts, or placed emphasis where it should not be.
I think it is fine for someone familiar with the bible, but probably not for someone dabbling in bible study or the above might be offputting

Great for younger listeners; or if you are like me and just want something so easy to listen to. Enjoyable. Once again Amazon got it to me on time, exactly what I ordered.
