Chris Tiegreen is a writer and editor for Walk Thru the Bible's "Indeed" devotional magazine, which has won the EPA Award of Excellence in the devotional category for two consecutive years. His first book, At His Feet, was a Gold Medallion award finalist in the same category. Chris has served as a pastor, church planter, and missionary, and has been a university instructor in international politics. Chris and his wife, Hannah, live near Atlanta, Georgia.

Will draw you closer to God

A friend gave me this devotional for Christmas, so I read December 25th to begin with. After reading it, I thought it would have especially been a comfort or encouragement to the people of Newtown, CT. Since then, reading daily, I have found this book to be extra special. The author really has a way with words that touches me and makes me really consider and think about the things he is saying. I truly believe reading and thinking on these thoughts daily will make me more aware of God's wonderful Presence than ever before. I recommended it to my small group, and believe that regardless of a person's present relationship with the Lord, this book will be a blessing to any one seeking to know God or to draw closer to Him. I highly recommend it. AND the beautiful blue soft leather-like cover is well worth the extra few dollars!!!!

This is the 3rd "One Year" Chris Tiegreen devotional that I've purchased-- two for myself and one as a gift for my boyfriend-- and this one is probably my favorite. Finding joy in who God is the most fulfilling, illuminating, and practical realities that a Christian is gifted to embrace. This devotional challenges the source of your trust, confidence, and joy and gives Scriptural sustenance to support the amazing truth that God delights to be our all in all.

Best Devotional there is

I have read many good devotionals, but this one excels them all. Most devotionals have days that are really good and then you read a few that just don't seem to speak to you as much. Yet with this devotional each day seems to get better. I've read 3 months of it so far and I haven't had a devotion that didn't speak powerfully and deeply to my heart. In Experiencing God's Presence Chris Tiegreen ushers you into the presence of God in numerous ways. He shows you from Scripture that God is pursuing a love relationship with you, that He longs to bless you, and you just would be delighted to know just how much He loves you. He's a God who knows everything about you yet still wants to be close to you. He's a God who made you in His image and wants people to see Him in you. He's a God you can't help but fall in love with and want to be in His presence. You cannot go wrong with this devotional. Enjoy.
